2025 Photography Contest

In what has become a tradition, each year the CBWF holds a photography contest throughout July open to all visitors exploring wildflowers in Crested Butte that summer. Selected by our Staff & Board of Directors, winners receive prizes, and all submissions have the chance to be featured in our marketing and social media! Guidelines & recent winners are below.

2025 Selfie Contest:

Guidelines:

  • Post up to 3 selfies on your personal social media (Instagram or Facebook) including the hashtag #CBWFselfies2025
  • Selfies should include either a CBWF event, wildflowers, bees, butterflies, birds, gardens etc.
  • Photographs submitted must have been taken in the Gunnison/ Crested Butte Valley during 2025
  • Only photos posted between July 1 – August 1, 2025 with our hashtag on Facebook and Instagram will be considered for the contest
  • The top selfie with the most likes will be considered the winner of the selfie contest (one winner from Instagram and one winner from Facebook will be selected)
  • Announcements of the winners will be made by September 1, 2025 (unless otherwise communicated)

2025 Photo Contest:

Guidelines:

  • Email up to 10 photographs to info@cbwildflower.com between July 1 – August 1, 2025
  • Use “Photo Contest Entry – your First and Last Name” as the entry subject line
  • Please include the location(s) of the photograph(s) (for our use only)
  • Photos must be your own original work
  • Photographs submitted must have been taken in the Gunnison / Crested Butte Valley during 2025
  • Photos of flowers must be of growing flowers, not picked!
  • Examples of submissions we LOVE receiving: wildflowers, bees, butterflies, birds, people, CBWF Tours, gardens, etc.
  • Only photos submitted between July 1- August 1, 2025 via our email (info@cbwildflower.com) will be considered for the contest.
  • Announcements of the winners will be made by September 1st, 2025 (unless otherwise communicated) after the Board of Directors and Staff have voted.

Please Note: When you submit a photo to the Crested Butte Wildflower Festival Photography Contest you agree to allow the Festival to utilize your photo in our online and print media including social media, email marketing, and print advertising.
