Jamie has always loved the mountains of Colorado. She left NY for the University of Denver in the 80’s. After graduating and teaching first grade in Parker, she followed her passion for skiing to the Vail Valley, where she spent three years as a ski instructor. Jamie later returned East, where she met and married her husband, Steve, and together they raised four children in New York and then in North Carolina. As lifelong skiers and outdoor enthusiasts, Jamie and Steve discovered Crested Butte and were captivated by its stunning scenery, welcoming community, vibrant summers, wildflowers, and spectacular fall colors. Now a full-time Crested Butte resident, Jamie enjoys mountain biking, hiking, and exploring the area’s incredible trail system. After volunteering with the Wildflower Festival for the past two years, she is excited to be a first-year Wildflower Hike Assistant and share her enthusiasm for the mountains and natural beauty of the region.
