Arriving in Crested Butte in 1980 began my lifelong love affair with the wildflowers of our beautiful West
Elk Mountains. I vividly recall my first hike up O Be Joyful & being totally captivated by the all of the showy blooms. How could all of this beauty emerge from piles of feet of snow!
