Vanessa Callahan is Assistant Manager of Learning Engagement at Denver Botanic Gardens, where she finds playful and engaging ways to communicate plant science with the public. She writes content for and stars in the Denver Botanic Gardens’ Nerdy Naturalist social media campaign. Vanessa also teaches adult and teen volunteers about botanical themes and coordinates onsite, drop-in activities where she and her trained volunteers engage visitors in discovering the Gardens’ plants, science, and collections.
