I am a retired Associate Professor of Genetics, Population Ecology and STEM. I am passionate about Nature and all of her works of art. I have loved being outdoors since I was a child and find the wildflowers of Crested Butte breathtaking as they adapt to their diverse environments. I have been visiting Crested Butte since 2015 and began studying the wildflowers in the Colorado Springs/Pike National Forest in 2012. I am a military “brat” and find solace in swimming, hiking and jogging. I work with children who struggle in math and science to instill the wonders of Nature for practical application and have developed curricula for field studies. I love animals (adopting rescues) and working with non-traditional female/military students who are transitioning into new jobs. I am so excited to be part of the Wildflower Festival and will see you there!
