Richard “Dick” Davis is a retired teacher and scientist from the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, where he conducted research on “Neglected Tropical Diseases” and taught molecular biology. He helped establish and lead the “RNA Bioscience Initiative” Program. Since retirement and living in the Crested Butte area, his interests have turned to learning and sharing information on wildflowers, insect biology, and ecology. He is a volunteer at the Rocky Mountain Biological Laboratory, providing support for several programs. Hobbies include skiing, scuba diving, and working on being a better photographer. He has been conducting wildflower tours at RMBL or the CBWF since 2022.
