Elin Binck

Elin first moved to the mountains after getting a summer job leading nature hikes for the Aspen Center for Environmental Studies.  After six years of living in Crested Butte, her love of plants and aquatic ecosystems ultimately led her to get a master’s from Colorado State University, where her research focused on plant community composition of wetlands on BLM lands across Colorado.  Today, Elin serves as the Administrative Assistant and Field Technician for the Coal Creek Watershed Coalition.  As part of the Wildflower Festival, she is excited to share her knowledge about the importance of our local watersheds and the wetland, riparian, and aquatic plants that thrive in them.
