2019 Children’s Program Lead Instructor


Under the supervision of the Assistant Director & Director, this 45-hour position will run from July 8-12. As well as 6 additional training hours leading up to the start of the Festival on July 5th.  This teaching position will be responsible for assisting the Children’s Programming Coordinator with the daily operations of our children’s camp during the 2019 Crested Butte Wildflower Festival. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:  



  • Lead children of different ages and learning abilities during
  • Lessons
  • Activities
  • Games
  • Exploration
  • Preparation and clean-up daily activities



  • Care of children in daily camps
  • Monitor play
  • Guide lessons and games 
  • Maintain safety at all times 
  • Influence good behavior 



  • Junior or Senior status in college with a minimum 3.0GPA (Education Major preferred), OR career educator wanting summer work and a field-based education setting. 
  • Documented experience leading school aged children
  • Demonstrated maturity, strong sense of judgement, organization, problem solving skills, and attention to details
  • Willingness to jump in and work with Program Coordinator and Intern
  • Ability to make quick calls and judgements in stressful situations
  • First Aid and CPR Certified (or willing to take course in June)
  • MUST comply with finger prints and a background check requirement before signing contract




  • $750stipend ($150/day) 
  • $75training stipend
